A situation comedy, also known as a sitcom, is a TV show that features a group of people with a common environment which deal with normal situations in a humorous manner. The first television sitcom was broadcast in the U.K. and it had only 10 episodes. In the U.S. sitcoms started to be produced during the 50s and they were very well received.
