Spring is by far the most colorful of all seasons. The great variety of flowers that can be seen all around us has an instant happiness effect. As we leave behind the winter nostalgia we embrace spring with all our heart and we even try to bring it into our home. In order to celebrate the arrival of the most colorful season you should spend your free time doing some fun spring crafts.
Due to the fact that the most important elements of spring are the flowers you should try to beautify your homes with artificial flowers. There are many ways in which you can make paper of fabric flowers and there are even more ways in which you can use them. You can make wreaths, centerpieces, garlands and even fashionable accessories such as brooches, necklaces, headbands and many more. An easy way to make fabric flowers is to take a thin, long ribbon (or plain fabric scraps) , some hot glue and scissors. Make a knot at one end of the ribbon and then fold the ribbon in half. Wrap the ribbon twice or three times around the knot and use a stitch in order to fix the wrapping( it needs to be very tight). Then proceed to wrapping the rest of the ribbon around the knot center. When you are done make a stitch that goes through all the wrapping layers in order for the fabric flower to maintain its shape. This is but one of the many ways in which you can make fabric flowers and it is a great spring craft.
Decorative wreaths are also great spring crafts. There are two ways in which you can make a wreath. The easiest way is to buy a round shaped foam from a dollar store. You can wrap it in fabric and decorate it with artificial flowers , beads, glitter, lace or burlap. The second way to make a wreath is to actually use natural springs. You can twist them or braid them into a circular shape. Furthermore you can use bloomed springs or simple ones. The simple ones are better because you can decorate them with artificial items and they last longer. Furthermore you can even spray paint the springs in order to make a more colorful wreath. When looking for springs for this craft try to choose thin willow branches as they are more flexible. You can use such branches in all sorts of spring crafts. For example a tall plain vase placed in a corner of a room with a couple of decorated branches can change the look of a room. Furthermore if you get handy with the springs you can even weave them in little baskets that you can use as centerpieces.
